2014 Scholarship Fund Underway.

As we approach the fifth anniversary of Fr. Michael's death, the Fr. Michael Sepp Scholarship is getting ready to grant its fourth award in 2014.  The award, dedicated to helping those families struggling to award a quality Catholic education for their children entering high schools in New York City, has helped three deserving children from the South Bronx.

Please spread the word and donate if you can.

Dear Friends of Fr. Michael Sepp,

As most of you know, Fr. Michael helped several students from his parishes with tuition, despite his limited means, because he believed wholeheartedly in the value of a Catholic Education.
A growing number of families, who once were able, are now struggling to afford tuition for Catholic schools in areas of New York City where public schools are dangerous and lack the quality that the family desires for their children's education.
Some deserving children need help and we would like to be there for at least one of these kids as Fr. Michael would have.

If you believe as he did, that Catholic education makes a difference in a person's life, please donate today. Any amount you can afford will be greatly appreciated.

All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of the proceeds go to the scholarship winners.

God bless you and keep safe and warm this holiday season.

The Family of Father Michael Sepp

Today marks the 4th anniversary of Fr. Mike's death.

The new Pope elected today is Latin American and named himself Pope Francis I, after Michael's favorite saint.  I visited Assisi in 2009 and felt an amazing level of emotion and power in the Cathedral that still makes me shake when I think about it.

-- Did you have something to say about this, Mike? :)

The scholarship fund is still going strong, thanks to the kind donations of friends and family.

We miss you, Mike!

Happy 60th Birthday, Fr. Michael!

Today marks the 60th anniversary of Fr. Mike's birth.  In 2 days it will be the 4th anniversary of his death.

I have never known a man like my brother.  No one was like him and I have yet to meet anyone who is like him.  I honestly can't compare him to anyone because he simply was the most selfless, caring and kindhearted man I have ever known. I bear an incredible sense of pride in being his brother and if I can reveal 10% of his goodness through my life it would be an accomplishment.  Any more would be unrealistic.

His death was a loss for everyone around him, whether they knew it or not.

I believe he's in Heaven because if he's not...who could be.  Seriously.

Thank You!: A donor to the Scholarship Fund Helps Keep it Going!

UPDATE:  Fr. Michael Sepp Memorial Scholarship Fund

  Dear Friends of Fr. Michael:

I hope you're all having a great start to the New Year.

The Scholarship is now entering it's Third Year and we are excited to continue helping the young people of Sacred Heart Parish (and plans are in the works to add student-members of Resurrection's CCD program) achieve their academic dreams by attending one of New York City's Catholic High Schools.

The family would like to take a moment to thank Mr. Richard Curtain for his generous donation to the Fund!  Mr. Curtin is a Bronx, NYC native who attended Cardinal Spellman High School and has fond memories of Mike and his good work.

I'm sure my brother is smiling up there in heaven knowing that Rich has helped to continue the good work Michael started by helping young people in need.

If anyone else out there would like to help out, anything you can contribute is extremely appreciated.

Kind Regards and Warm Prayers,

The Sepp Family
